Maternity Photography in Bondi
There is something about Bondi at first light. The water is calm, the sand is still cool, and the morning has a softness that feels made for this season of your life. As a Bondi maternity photographer, this is where I love to photograph expecting mothers, while the beach is quiet and the light is gentle.
I am Anastasia, a maternity and motherhood photographer based in Sydney. I came to this work as a mother myself, after my son arrived and I understood, all at once, how quickly these moments pass. A maternity session in Bondi is my way of helping you hold on to this chapter, so the love and anticipation of it are never lost to memory.
Why Bondi for your maternity shoot
Bondi gives us open sky, soft sand and that endless horizon, which makes for images that feel calm, natural and timeless. We can photograph along the quieter stretches of the beach, among the rock pools, or up on the coastal path, depending on the look you are drawn to. If you would prefer the comfort and control of a studio, I also offer beautiful studio sessions, and we can talk through what suits you best.
When to plan your session
The most flattering time for a maternity shoot is usually between 28 and 36 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round and you still feel comfortable and energetic. In Bondi, early morning is the loveliest light and the calmest time on the beach, so I tend to plan our sessions then.
What your session feels like
Relaxed, unhurried and warm. I will guide you gently the whole way, so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands or how to stand. Many of the mothers I photograph arrive a little nervous and leave surprised by how natural it felt. You are allowed to simply be present and enjoy it.
